The 5th Congress of Banking Law and Information 2016 organized by the Polish Banks Association was held on 7 June 2015. The 3 key speaking points of the Congress included: mortgage loans denominated in or indexed to a foreign currency, amendment of the Act on Competition and Consumer Protection – new rules of procedure in respect to abusive clauses and new rules of procedure in respect to violation of collective interests of consumers, presentation of model LMA regulations and evaluation of rationale for potential claims raised by merchants referring to interchange fee paid by them.
Professor Michał Romanowski participated in a panel discussion on changes in the Act on Competition and Consumer Protection.
